about me
Anda Saylor is an artist from Anchorage, Alaska. After receiving a B.A. with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Art with Honors from Macalester College in Minnesota in 2006, she returned home to Anchorage where she makes art in her studio at Firefly Gallery, does qualitative research and waits tables at Snow City Cafe. She facilitates an inclusive artists' creative endurance group called YAAC, (YAAC is Alaskan Artists in Cahoots). Anda's work calls the viewer to gently be present with themselves just as they are. Her pieces explore the intersection of the expansive and the particular through drawings, installation and fiber sculpture.
